Tesco have announced the release of their new budget 7-inch tablet; the Hudl.

The UK supermarket chain are to put their own device up against other companies’ products in their stores from September 30, which is when Hudl will be available. It will retail at £119.

The tablet features a 1440×900 resolution, boasts a quad-core Rokchip 1.5GHz processor and runs Android 4.2.2. It also comes complete with 16GB internal storage, and a microSD slot allowing for additional storage. Tesco also say that the battery will last around 9 hours on a fill charge.

The device will come boxed with headphones and a rubber case. The retailer also say that they will double the value of ClubCard vouchers put towards purchasing a Hudl, so if customers have enough points for a £60 voucher, that will be enough to get the tablet for free.

So do you fancy a Tesco tablet?
