Some new Harry Potter trademarks have been registered by Warner Bros.
It was announced earlier this month that JK Rowling had agreed a deal with Warner for a new film based on elements from the Potter series, coming from a textbook called Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. Not surprisingly, that title has been registered, but there are some other Potter-related trademarks that catch the eye.
Newt Scamander, the fictitious author of Fantastic Beasts, has been registered, as has the book Tales of Beedle the Bard. Another spinoff book, Quidditch Through the Ages, has also been added to the list, along with Quidditch teams Wimbourne Wasps, Chudley Cannons and Kenmare Kestrels. Lastly, the Quidditch expert Kennilworthy Whisp – writer of the aforementioned Quidditch book – has also been registered.
