Disney Pixar have announced that they are pushing back the release dates of upcoming films Finding Dory and The Good Dinosaur.
November 25, 2015 will now see the release of The Good Dinosaur – back from the original date of May 30 2014 – while Finding Dory has been delayed until Summer 2016.
This announcement means that there will be no Pixar release in 2014, the first year since 2005 that had no Pixar film released during it.
Pixar president Ed Catmull has commented on the decision:
“Nobody ever remembers the fact that you slipped a film, but they will remember a bad film. Our conclusion was that we were going to give the [dinosaur] film some more time.”
