More information has been offered on the new DLC available for Batman: Arkham Origins.
Last week we reported on a special Season Pass which, when purchased, gives access to several character skins, a new story and an Initiation challenge map set in Asia featuring Bruce Wayne. And while a playable version of the game was being shown off at the Eurogamer Expo, the game’s producer Guillaume Voghe has delved a little more into that DLC.
“You play as Bruce Wayne learning to be a ninja. That’s a really cool one. Narratively there’s some added content that will give players a little more background story….[But] it’s not League of Assassins, it’s ninja-related. It’s when he learned to be a ninja and learned those techniques. He goes to a monastery – custom content was created for the DLC. You’ll be in Asia in the monastery. The team did a great job on that, it looks really good.”
Voghe also revealed some more information about some of the other game options available, such as New Game Plus, and the I Am The Night mode.
“The main narrative arc and side missions last about 12 hours, and then you have all the collectibles. To get 100 per cent of that will take much, much longer. We have a new difficulty level, New Game Plus is coming pack – that’s really difficult – and when you’re done with that there’s I Am The Night mode – which is no saves and one life.”
Concerning the “no saves” part of that quote, the title’s Creative Director Eric Holmes has since taken to Twitter to clarify that you can save the game, but the one life rule is still in play.
