Top WWE star facing a long lay-off

Sheamus has been ruled out of action for 4-6 months.

The former WWE champion first suffered a shoulder injury at the Money in the Bank PPV, and in the time following that event, he has continued to experience discomfort, including sharp pains down his left arm. An MRI has showed that he has suffered a torn labrum, which will require arthroscopic surgery next week.

A 4-6 month recovery timeframe would place him at making a return sometime around the Elimination Chamber PPV, though Royal Rumble in January could be an outside bet depending how well he heals.
