PS4 owners will get a free 14 day trial of PlayStation Plus when they get their first game, this was revealed at Sony’s GamesCom pre-event presser. Along with being able to use of the features of PS Plus, this will also give players free access to Driveclub and Housemarque’s shooter Res0gun.
Starting tomorrow, if you sign-up to PS Plus, Sony will add 90 days to your membership for free.
PlayStation 4 members will get 3GB of cloud storage, while Vita and PS3 members get 2GB (No word yet on if this stacks for those who have multiple consoles). PS Plus is required for multiplayer on PS4, although this remains free for PS3 and Vita. A yearly subscription to PS Plus costs £40 (UK)/€50 (EU)/$50 (Us)/$70 (AU).
As a recent adopter of Sony’s PlayStation Plus I can help but recommend you getting in on this as it’s worth the money without an introductory offer, especially when compared to a scheme like Microsoft’s Games with Gold.
