Canon launches ‘Facebook Camera’

First announced at CES 2013 back in January, the PowerShot N – Canon’s “Facebook Camera” – will go on sale from the start of next month with an RRP of $300.

The camera features a dedicated button on the side so you will be able to upload photos taken directly to the world’s most famous social network.

In addition to the Facebook connectivity the camera features:

  • a 12.1 megapixel CMOC sensor
  • a Digic 5 processor
  • a 28-224mm f/3.0-5.9 lens

The back of the camera features a 2.8-inch touch enabled LCD screen which allow you to pick and choose which pictures you wish to upload to Facebook. To make uploading as easy as possible the camera also features built-in WiFi with functionality for both standard home WiFi connection and mobile tethering, allowing the user to upload from anywhere.

The camera will be exclusive to Canon’s online store but unfortunately there is no UK release date for now.
