WWE Headliner Out for 4-6 Months

John Cena will be out of action for 4-6 months.

The now-former WWE champion explained to the live crowd on Raw that he suffered a torn triceps that caused fluid to build up on his elbow. He claimed that he was advised to pull out of his planned SummerSlam match with Daniel Bryan, to whom he dropped the WWE Championship in a fantastic bout. With the pay-per-view now over, Cena will be having the required surgery and miss the rest of the year.

Cena is the second top-line superstar to take forced time off from WWE, with Sheamus recently ruled out for a similar timeframe following surgery on his labrum.
