An online petition has been set up demanding that Microsoft perform a second u-turn and re-introduce their controversial policies on DRM regarding the new Xbox One console.
The petition has been created by a group of fans unhappy with Sony “taking advantage of consumers’ uncertainty“, forcing Microsoft into making the change.
The petition reads:
“This was to be the future of entertainment. A new wave of gaming where you could buy games digitally, then trade, share or sell those digital licenses.
“Essentially, it was Steam for Xbox. But consumers were uninformed, and railed against it, and it was taken away because Sony took advantage of consumers’ uncertainty.”
The Xbox One is due for release in November.
