Man of Steel director Zack Snyder has confirmed that Batman will appear in the next Superman film.
At Comic-Con moments ago, Snyder brought out Harry Lennix – who played General Swanwick – to read a passage from The Dark Knight Returns;
“I want you to remember Clark. In all the years to come. In all your private moments. I want to you remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you.”
On the big screen, the Superman logo was shown, with a new Batman logo behind it. Eric Vespe of Ain’t It Cool tweeted a picture of the logo

Warner Bros. have also released an official statement, with quotes from Snyder;
“I’m so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can’t wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let’s face it, it’s beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world.”
The film is set to start production in 2014, with a release set for Summer 2015.
