LEGO launch Back to the Future set

LEGO have announced that they will be releasing a Back to the Future toy as part of their LEGO CUUSOO project.

The LEGO CUUSOO scheme was set up to allow fans’ to submit design ideas for LEGO products, those which receive enough interest from the public are then considered for production. Previous products released include LEGO Minecraft, a LEGO Hayabusa asteroid explorer and the LEGO Shinkai 6500 submarine.


The special LEGO set will feature a DeLorean that can be customised in to the three different versions we saw in the Back To The Future trilogy, the standard 1980’s, the 2015 flying model and the railroad version.

Also included, a time display, flux capacitor, 1985 and 2015 licence plates and Marty and Doc Brown LEGO minifigures.

The Back to the Future DeLorean was selected ahead of models for The Legend of Zelda, EVE Online, a Rifter ship and a modular Western Town.


The product’s designer Masashi Togami will donate his royalties from the toy to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.

Retailing at £34.99 the LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine set will is available from select stockists in the UK.
