Paramount Pictures are reportedly “working fast” on a fourth Beverly Hills Cop movie.
Fuelled by the surge of public interest in the doomed TV series, the studio are pressing on with plan to resurrect the series. Screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec – who worked on Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol – have been hired to write the script, while it is understood that Eddie Murphy is keen to reprise his role as Axel Foley.
The TV series was to star Brandon T. Jackson in the role of Foley’s son, with Murphy in a supporting role, however CBS surprisingly declined to pick up the series. It is claimed that the pilot drew enough attention to the franchise for Paramount to start work on a fourth film.
