Apple submit iWatch patent application

Apple have submitted an application in Japan, Mexico and Taiwan for patent on the iWatch.

Engadget have learned that the company applied for the Japanese patent on June 3, and also later learned of the Mexico and Taiwan patents as well. This would appear to confirm ongoing speculation of Apple moving into the wearable device market. It was rumoured that an announcement would be made at WWDC in June, but obviously that did not happen.
