WWDC 2013: Apple confirm Siri update; vehicle integration also announced

Apple have announced details of an update for Siri.

Boasting the new option of a male or female voice, as well as availability in French and German languages, the voice assistant will also now feature full integration with Twitter, Wikipedia and Bing.

Also, iOS in the Car has also been announced, giving drivers the ability to directly link iOS 7 with their vehicle’s infotainment systems, offering an interface for maps, messages and music. Be prepared to wait for for this one though, as a number of car manufactures are only expecting to be able to implement iOS in the Car at some point in 2014.
