Rick Moranis has spoken about the ongoing and long-mooted rumours of Ghostbusters 3.
Moranis – who played Louis Tully in the first two films – spoke to Empire in a very rare interview, and revealed that he has been contacted about appearing in the movie.
“I haven’t talked to Danny (Aykroyd) about it. Somebody he’s associated with called me and I said, ‘I wouldn’t not do it, but it’s got to be good.’ You know, I’m not interested in doing anything I’ve already done, and I thought the second one was a disappointment.”
“But I guess I’m interested in where that guy is now. I sort of see him as being Bernie Madoff’s cellmate in jail. Both of them being so orderly that they race to get up and make their beds.”
Dan Aykroyd has previously admitted that Bill Murray isn’t likely to return for a third film, though he hoped that Murray would change his mind and sign up for a role. Latest rumours peg production on the film to start in 2014.
