Apple looking at larger screen iPhones

Apple are reportedly considering expanding it’s iPhone model availability.

Reuters are reporting that the company are planning to introduce 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch screen models over the next year, with Asia-based suppliers allegedly confirming the news to the site, with one of the sources claiming “they constantly change product specifications almost to the final moment, so you’re not really sure whether this is the final prototype.”

Apple’s current iPhone boasts a 4-inch screen, larger than the 3.5-inch previously found in all models launched since it’s inception in 2007. However, it is still one of the smaller screens available in the top-selling smartphones around at the moment, and the increased pressure from Samsung in particular may be the reason why Apple are looking at expanding their screens even further.

  1. Samsung S4 anyone?

    • No thanks, I hear the build quality is terrible in comparison to the S3 😛

  2. I meant the screen size update suggests they’re following Samsungs example

    • And I meant that your face is following by Samsung’s example
