E3: Wii Party U, Wii Fit U Delayed

During their E3 conference, Nintendo confirmed that Wii Party U and Wii Fit U have been delayed.

Wii Party U, originally announced in January, was due for release this Summer, but will now be available in October.

The title features Mii-based games, board games, and party games as part of 80 mini games, during which combinations of the GamePad or Wii remotes can be used. New tabletop games will also be introduced, allowing players to interact using the GamePad.

Wii Fit U has already suffered delays in the past, as it was originally due in Wii U’s launch window and then was later pegged for the first half of 2013. Nintendo now say the game will be released in the Winter, though no clarification was offered as to whether that meant late 2013 or early 2014. The delays are said to be allowing more features to be added, as well as additional focus on the new Fit Meter feature.
