WWE and The Flintstones to team up

Warner Bros. and WWE have announced that they are going to be co-producing a new animated feature film starring The Flintstones and WWE superstars.

In a press release, WWE Studios confirmed that WWE chairman Vince McMahon, John Cena and CM Punk will appear in the movie, as Vince McMagma, John Cenastone, and CM Punkrock respectively.

This is the second collaboration between wrestling and animation, with a Scooby Doo/WWE crossover movie scheduled for 2014 to tie-in with WrestleMania XXX.

Michael Luisi, President of WWE Studios, spoke about the new agreement with Warner Bros.

“WWE is family-friendly entertainment, so partnering with Warner Bros. on a Flintstones/WWE project was a natural extension of our Scooby Doo deal. This new, animated feature allows us to showcase our brand with young fans and loyal Flintstones enthusiasts alike.”

The film will be released in 2015, with Warner Bros. releasing the project on DVD, blu-ray, VOD and digital download.
