Tiki Takoo – Paradise Island Launches on iOS App Store

Tiki Takoo Header

Tokyo based studio Wiz corp have announced that their mobile puzzler Tiki Takoo – Paradise Island has launched today on the iOS App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch.

Tiki-Takoo is described as a “simple yet addictive puzzle game in which players must eradicate the colorful Bad Tikis by finding the sequence shown at the top of the screen. As the game progresses, the sequences become longer and tougher to find, and players can get bonus points by making combos, using Power-ups or activating Fever Mode

From playing the game today it seems to run very fluid which is what you want in a sliding touchscreen puzzle game. The system of matching Tiki heads with a pre-run sequence can be challenging and fun and you have the offer of linking to Facebook to challenge your friends which adds that competitive element.

Its a free to play game and runs in smooth HTML5 along with “a host of other new technologies” which makes the game run well and for free (which is always a winning combanation). The downside is that there are in-app purchases to buy Tiki Gold, which is one of the games two currencies. In-app purchase costs run from $1.99 (£1.30) all the way up to a shocking $79.99 (£52.56), but from what I can see, you’ll get plenty of enjoyment out of playing the game for free.

Tiki Takoo – Paradise Island is available on the iOS App Store for free and is optimised for iPhones and iPod Touches. For More information, head on over to the games official site.
