World Wrestling Entertainment have signed an independent Wrestler based in California called Shawn Ricker, who had been performing for Championship Wrestling from Hollywood under the guise of a heel and at one point there was managed by the late Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer).
Hailing from Hagerstown, Maryland, the 30 year old Ricker weighs in at 225 lbs and measures 6’1″.
Shawn Ricker will also be appearing on Dwane “The Rock” Johnson’s new action/reality series The Hero, a show hosted by The former WWE Champion which brings “ten ordinary people together in an unexpected and dramatic setting, then assign them various missions that will test their brains, their brawn and even their morality“. On The Hero, Ricker is billed as a “a struggling pro wrestler who has all the makings of a hero… honesty, strength, charisma. But does he have the compassion?”

Reportedly Ricker had undergone medical testing for the WWE last week along with other Independent Wrestlers Sami Callihan, Samuray del Sol and Mike Bennett, so watch this space.
WWE will soon be moving its developmental station to the “WWE Performance Center” (Winter Park, Florida) in July and once there are expected to acquire 20-22 new developmental Wrestlers.
