Marvel boss Kevin Feige has admitted that there are discussions regarding Hulk’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly (via Comic Book Movie), Feige confirmed ongoing talks about plans, but appeared to again refute speculation of a live-action Planet Hulk story arc.
“There’s no script in the works or anything, but we are talking about it. All the Hulk energy right now is on Avengers 2, but Mark Ruffalo is signed up [for more films]. What we’re excited about exploring and expanding is Mark – and Bruce Banner is not in Planet Hulk at all. The fun of Hulk is his interaction with humans.”
It was previously claimed that Marvel would introduce the Planet Hulk story in The Avengers 2, leading to a solo Hulk film that would form the basis for Phase Three, but previous denials as well as Feige talking highlighting Mark Ruffalo, as well as stating that Banner is not in Planet Hulk, would seemingly make Marvel’s position clear.
