Life of Pixel goes to Greenlight

For those that like to hang around the Kickstarter scene, you’ve probably already heard and even possibly donated to Super Icon’s cute retro platformer Life of Pixel. But for those that are sick of group funding or never jumped on that particular band wagon then please, allow me to enlighten you.

Life of Pixel as previously mentioned is a retro looking platform adventure all about a little green pixel called, erm… well… Pixel. Bored of his life in a modern day world where a pixel is just a spec in a much broader graphic, Pixel decides to go game hopping in a Videogame Museum and visit some of the most iconic consoles in history and play a much bigger part to each game (think Wreck-It Ralph but cuter). Console stylistic choices that are included range from the Atari 2600 to the more graphically advanced Sega Master System, it’s like nostalgia porn!



Now you’re up to date, allow me to inform you that as of today, Life of Pixel has made it’s jump to Steam Greenlight where you can check it out in the Concept section.

Super Icon also started a campaign recently via the aforementioned Kickstarter in a bid to raise £10,000 and help bring Life of Pixel to a variety of platforms including PC, Mac, iOS & Android with Stretch Goals including OUYA, Wii U and PlayStation 3 versions.

We’re hoping to provide more information for Life of Pixel, closer to it’s release date but in the mean time, why not go check out the game on Steam by following this link here.
