WrestleMania 29 news bits

As you may have noticed, the scheduled Tons of Funk & Funkadactyls vs Team Rhodes Scholar & Bella Twins match did not go ahead on last night’s pay-per-view. It is being said that it was a timing issue that caused the omission. Brodus Clay tweeted the following during the show;

WWE have announced that WrestleMania 29 set a new live gate record, taking $12.3 million in ticket sales. The event also broke the MetLife Stadium record, overtaking the $8.9 million for a U2 concert in July 2011.

There were a lot of issues with WWE.com’s live stream of the event. There were no images on the stream for the first 40 minutes of the show, and when it did start, it was with a message saying “Our apologies. This service is unavailable” When the online feed was eventually fixed, it was of poor quality, and started playing from the beginning of the event, and not broadcast live.
