The Walking Dead promotes three to series regulars

It has been reported that three characters from The Walking Dead will be upped from recurring to series regulars starting from series four.

The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that Chad Coleman (Tyreese), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and Emily Kinney (Beth) will all be included in the opening credits in the next series.

Kinney has been involved since the start of series two, while while Coleman and Martin-Green were introduced in Season 3. An increased role for Coleman was expected, with Tyreese being a popular character from the original comics, while Kinney’s promotion appears to confirm that Beth will start getting meaningful storylines. Martin-Green’s Sasha was a character invented for the series.

It was recently confirmed that David Morrisey’s Governor will remain as a series regular in the fourth season, while there has still been no word on Scott Wilson being promoted to regular, despite his Hershel character being prominently featured since series 2.
