Robert Redford talks Captain America 2 role

Robert Redford has been speaking on his part in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, claiming he “wanted to do something different”.

The veteran actor was recently reported to be in talks for a role in the Marvel sequel, and he has now revealed to Spinoff some details about the role, claiming he will be playing “the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, though no confirmation of that has yet come from Marvel themselves. Elaborating on the role, he said;

“The Captain America thing is just a very simple thing I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something just to be different. Something bold, different. And that felt like a good thing to do. That was it, nothing more to it than that. Well, it’s bold in terms of expectations, I guess,”

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set for a April 4 2014 release.
