Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams have been talking about the highly-anticipated Man of Steel.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, star Cavill admits that his Superman is affected by emotional – if not physical – distress.
“Although he is not susceptible to the frailties of mankind, he is definitely susceptible to the emotional frailties.”
And Adams, who plays Lois Lane, said of her character;
“I think she’s very transient. She’s ready to pick up and go at a moment’s notice. I think that definitely could be part of what she sees in Superman — not really laying down roots, not developing trust.”
Snyder also revealed something interesting about his version of Superman.
“I’ll be honest with you, there’s no Kryptonite in the movie.”
That revelation does fall in line with Cavill’s quote, and it appears that Man of Steel is going to focus on Superman’s main weakness being emotional rather than the Kryptonite usually featured in Superman media.
Man of Steel is scheduled for release on June 14.
