Taking a Sneak Peek at LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

In 2012 The Avengers (Assemble) with it’s massive effects, stellar cast and great use of comic sources, became not only one of the biggest cinematic wet dreams for Marvel fan-boys alike, but also (unsurprisingly) the highest-grossing film of the year. Along with Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man did pretty well in the charts as it manged to rope it’s way to 7th place in the biggest Box Office earnings. This year it looks like we’re off to the same formula with Iron Man 3 breaking records around the world and Thor The Dark World generating mome massive fan buzz. So with Phase One of the franchise’s cinematic story arc at a close and Phase Two well on its way, it’s clear to see that Marvel is big bushiness.

So following suit to the over comic giant DC Comics, Marvel have teamed up with the giants of the toy industry LEGO and produced some top-selling sets, merchandise and now a new videogame… LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

We first reported confirmation of the project back in January and  it did sure stir up some excitement at the possibility of  over 100 playable heroes and villains taking place in a LEGO built New York. But since that first announcement, things have been a little quiet with only a couple of off screen alpha footage reels being made public, that is until now.

Warner Bros. Interactive have some huge news coming up for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes lined up and expected to hit soon but in the mean time have put out the above nifty little teaser trailer.

The trailer shows off some of the most popular Avengers assembling for a title screenshot, which includes: Spider-Man, Thor, Wolverine, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and Deadpool, who all line up for a pose to then be approached by a large overcast shadow for a potentially huge bad guy (money’s on Galactus).

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is due out in the Fall of this year and has currently been confirmed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, and PC systems. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is available to pre-order from all good retailers today.
