New Grand Theft Auto V Trailers

Grand Theft Auto V Header

Rockstar’s eagerly awaited title Grand Theft Auto V is coming, it’s been coming for a while since its original delay but it’s still coming and excited does no justice to describe how we are feeling. To keep the hype train going we’ve been treated to screen shots what feels like every other day, but nothing that compared to that sweet official full-length trailer… until now!

Because Rockstar is awesome like this we have been treated to not one, not two, not four, but three new trailers for GTA V, all revolving around each of the games main protagonists.

The trailers feature new characters Michael, Franklin & Trevor and you can check out them all out below:

So as expected we’ve been watching the trailers over and over again looking over each little detail no matter how Insignificant, in order to get a good grasp of what’s going before we return to Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V.

Here’s what we found:

  • Michael Trailer – Song: “Radio Ga Ga” by Queen

Our first trailer follows Michael, the character originally shown in the reveal trailer for GTA V as he goes through his daily problems that lead him up to his breaking point in life. Micheal is a former Bank Robber who has now retired and spends his days living it up in Rockford Hills (Vinewood) as a wealthy family man, though life is not with out it’s troubles. Making regular visits to his Psychiatrist (rumored as Nolan North) to try and find some sort of answer as to coping with his problems, that which seem to link directly to his dysfunctional family. Michael’s Son Jimmy (Rumored as Danny Tamberelli) is a moping white-boy gangster wannabe who spends his day laying about and playing Videogames. His Daughter  (non-named) seems to be the slutty–blond-valley-girl type, who is seen partying on the beach and is with what appear to be joint-passing guys, and she is later seen being kicked out the house. Michael’s Trophy Wife (non-named) is a yoga-tennis-stay at home lady of  leisure who is having an affair.

Later on we see Michael coming out of retirement and taking on a jewelry store robbery, before perusing in a car chase against an airplane.

The trailer shows off some over aspects of the game including Cycling, Tennis, Golf, Helecopters.

  • Franklin Trailer – Song: “Hood Gone Love it” by J Rock

The Franklin trailer has the most San Andreas look and feel with San Andreas &  Los Santos tags and green & purple clothing to symbolise the Grove Street Family gang colours of the Ballas and Vagos. In this trailer we are introduced to Chop, a dog that seems to follow Franklin wherever he goes and at one point you see him taking down a rival gang member.

The trailer shows off first person views for driving cars and helicopters, strip clubs, police foot chases and dirt bikes(with Sprunk labeling).

  • Trevor Trailer – Song: “Are you sure Hank done it this way?” by Waylon Jennings

Trevor seems to be the fun comic relief character with a red-neck style, who’s the most separated from the group out of the three. We see him getting the best lines and doing the most bizarre stuff (Like howling and the moon and running around in his underwear). Trevor is a drunk and a drug addict who is seen cooking Chrystal Meth and seems to have ties to The Lost from GTA IV: The Lost and the Damned DLC expansion. Trevor is connected to Michael’s past but became separated  along the way and seems to have sunk low (possibly due to drugs).

We’re also shown that tractors and biplanes are available in this game along with a lot of fist fights. This is also the trailer that shows us the weather in full effect with a lightning storm.

So there you have it, these are the three new trailers for GTA V. If you want more, then you better head over to Rockstar’s blog, Newswire.

Grand Theft Auto V is due out on the 17th September and is so far confirmed for PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 consoles.
