Fandango theme riding high in iTunes charts

*Update – Fandango has dropped down to the number 14 position*

Following Monday’s quite extraordinary episode of Raw, WWE star Fandango’s theme song has amazingly climbed high in the iTunes charts in the UK.

For those of you that saw Raw, the hugely-involved crowd sang the theme throughout Fandango’s segment with Chris Jericho, as well as during the main event of the show – that Fandango had no involvement in – and also after the show went off the air. Incredibly, the fans were continuing to sing it as they were leaving the building.

And now, it has become the centre of a staggering campaign by UK wrestling fans to get it as high in the charts as possible. As of this writing, it is sitting at #11 in the charts, and has been steadily climbing all day. If the track remains in the top 40, it will be featured in the weekend’s chart rundown, which means national airplay.

WWE must be ecstatic about this, even more so when you remember that WWE are actually taping Raw and SmackDown in the UK in two weeks. The Fandango Revolution (which is trending on Twitter) appears set to continue.
