WWE Studios actually gets some success

WWE Studios’ The Call, which has got big promotion across WWE TV, made an impressive £17.1million in it’s opening weekend.

The film, starring Halle Berry, finished second place in the box office, beaten only by Disney’s new family film Oz: The Great and Powerful. The weekend’s other big release, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, starring Hollywood big-hitters Jim Carrey and Steve Carell did far less business than expected.

WWE Studio’s other recent offering, Dead Man Down, has just finished it’s first ten days of release, and has thus far taken over $9.2million to date.
