*The following article contains a spoiler for a planned segment on tonight’s Raw.*
WWE have removed Ric Flair from a planned segment on Raw tonight.
PWInsider are reporting that Flair has a blood clot in his leg. They claim that he was checked over by the WWE medical team at the arena, and immediately told to go to a local hospital in Philadelphia for examination. He has since been advised to return to Charlotte, North Carolina for further treatment.
Flair had to pull out of a scheduled in-ring appearance for All Japan back in January because of a blood clot, though it has not been confirmed if it is the same clot that has now led to him being removed from tonight’s Raw. The site have previously reported that WWE officials have been concerned about Flair’s health, and instructed him to refrain from physicality during appearances.
Regarding tonight’s Raw, Flair was booked to appear with fellow WWE Hall of Fame Bret Hart in a verbal segment with The Rock and John Cena. Jerry Lawler was also scheduled for the segment, so he may take Flair’s role, unless WWE have another legend hanging around backstage they can write into the segment.
