Nintendo have announced that Scribblenauts Unlimited will be delayed.
The game was due to be released this week, but a last-minute delay has now been announced.
“We are sorry to announce that Scribblenauts Unlimited, a game developed by Warner Bros. Interactive & 5th Cell and published by Nintendo of Europe for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, will be delayed in Europe.
“It has come to light that some changes need to be implemented within the game before we launch them across Europe. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to make further announcements on the European launch of these games very soon.”
GoNintendo are now reporting that their sources tell them that the game was in stores waiting to be sold, and actually had to be removed from shelves due to the last-minute delay.
The site’s source claims that the issues with the game was “so important that Nintendo asked retailers to yank the game before it was on sale…and those copies are now on their way back to Nintendo.”
