Sony’s PlayStation event is happening right now and here’s how the big news has gone down;
The night started with a video package of Sony’s past commercials for varies products which the focus changed majority to PlayStation ads. The message of the video was that “PlayStation wants to win” the war, using imagination as a weapon and that the brand had grown up “different and a “renegade”.
Current President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Andrew House then took to the stage (to the sound of the original PlayStation’s boot up music) for the introduction to the night. “The stakes are high for what we’re going to show you,” he said, saying Sony’s making a “bold leap” by strengthening the PlayStation ecosystem with hardware, software and network interfacing.
He hyped up the idea of connectivity between devices, social aspects and promised that Sony will continue to unlock the Vita’s potential along with expanding to smartphones and other mobile devices. He concluding by saying that more information mobile device plans will be revealed later in the year.
House then ended up the introduction by confirming the worlds suspicions, PlayStation 4 real and its coming!
Not a bad way to kick of the night, though I was really hoping for the pink Vita announcement when the PSV came into the intro.
