Instagram finally comes to browsers

Instagram is now available online.

Up until then, going to Instagram’s website only offered you information about the app and where to get it. But from today, your full photo feed can now be viewed within your browser.

The interface will be immediately recognisable and is very similar to the scrolling setup on the mobile app.

Speaking on their official blog, Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom wrote;

“Your Instagram feed on the web functions much like it does on your mobile phone. You can browse through the latest photos of people whom you follow with updates as people post new photos. Like photos by double clicking on them or pressing the like button. [The service is still] about producing photos on the go, in the real world, in realtime.”

One thing that has not yet transferred to the web, however, is the ability to upload photos. The app is still required for that.
