HMV Closures Confirmed

The administrator of British high street retailer HMV has announced that 66 of their stores will be shut down resulting in 930 employees out of work.

Closures are expected to start in a month’s time.

Concerning the store closures, Administrator Nick Edwards said;

This step has been taken in order to enhance the prospects of securing the business’ future as a going concern.”

“We continue to receive strong support from staff and are extremely grateful to them for their commitment during an understandably difficult period.”
