Update: Bond titles pulled from Steam due to expired license

Earlier this week we reported, Steam users as well as customers of Activision’s online store noticed that all James Bond PC titles had been removed.

According to a report on NeoGamr, the reason the 007’s titles are no longer available is due to the license having expired.

Activision acquired the right to make titles based on the James Bond license in 2006 which wasn’t set to expire until 2014.

The fist title released was Quantum of Solace in 2008, followed by Blood Stone & 007 Goldeneye on the Wii in 2010 following to the PS3 and Xbox 360 port 007 Goldeneye Reloaded in 2011 and finally the last game in the  series was 007 Legends (which was developed by Eurocom) released in 2012.

We’ll keep you posted with updates when avalible.
