NXT star to make TV debut at Royal Rumble

NXT star Bo Dallas will make his televised WWE debut in tonight’s Royal Rumble match.

Dallas – Taylor Rotunda, son of former WWE Tag-Team champion Mike ‘IRS’ Rotunda and grandson of Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan – won an 8-man tournament held at the Royal Rumble Fan Fest in Phoeniz, AZ., defeating Leo Kruger in the final.

WWE.com has quotes from Dallas on the victory;

“This doesn’t even feel like real life. I’m hovering above myself and watching this happen. An unreal experience, man….To be in the history books for anything is amazing. But being the first NXT Superstar to be in the Royal Rumble Match? I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but that’s badass!”

“I’m always the underdog. I never let that get me down. I take the punches, but if there’s one thing I believe, it’s ‘always get up.’ And that’s how I live life.”

Dallas was signed to a development deal in 2008, and has been working WWE house shows in recent months. With the recent high-profile introductions of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollin, Roman Reigns and Big E. Langston from NXT to the main roster, plus his family tradition, a lot of eyes, and anticipation, will be on Dallas.
