Microsoft brings XBLA Titles to Windows 8

Microsoft have announced Microsoft Play, which will enable users to play Xbox games on Windows 8.

Also available on the Surface tablet, Play will launch with 15 well-known Xbox games, with users also able to download their Gamertag, statistics, and also later have access to a new Marketplace.

Admittedly, the games available at launch are towards the older end games offered on XBLA, such as Solitaire, Mah Jong and Minesweeper, which may be seen as a disappointment by some, but the promise of more games down the line is encouraging, and may be the determining factor in some Xbox users finally making the switch to Windows 8.
