An official title for a potential movie or sequel to ‘Batman: Arkham City’ may have been revealed.
Fusible have found a list of domain names registered by Warner Bros with MarkMonitor, an internet brand protection company who deal with internet brand protection and who Warner deal with regularly, not just for their own site but also domains for various Warner projects, such as the upcoming 300 prequel. Here is the list of domains registered;
arkhamuniverse.com (Arkham Universe)
batmanarkahmuniverse.com (Batman Arkham Universe)
batmanarkhamarises.com (Batman Arkham Arises)
batmanarkhambegins.com (Batman Arkham Begins)
batmanarkhamdarkknight.com (Batman Arkham Dark Knight)
batmanarkhamknight.com (Batman Arkham Knight)
batmanarkhamlegend.com (Batman Arkham Legend)
batmanarkhamlegends.com (Batman Arkham Legends)
batmanarkhamnight.com (Batman Arkham Night)
batmanarkhamorigins.com (Batman Arkham Origins)
batmanarkhamstories.com (Batman Arkham Stories)
darkknightarkham.com (Dark Knight Arkham)
dcarkhamuniverse.com (DC Arkham Universe)
dcarkhamverse.com (DC Arkhamverse)
thearkhamuniverse.com (The Arkham Universe)
Of course, there could be various reasons for these domains being signed up by Warner. It could indeed be for a future Batman gaming title, or even a major motion picture. Or it could just be what many other major companies do and protect their intellectual properties, and they actually have no plans for them.
My guess (and pure speculation)? The next Batman game will be set in the Silver Age as previously rumoured, will be a prequel to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, and will be called Arkham Origins. Could not make more sense!
