Ah China, Home of the Panda, the Great Wall and of course copyright violations. Well they seem to be solidly in the belief of the old saying ‘stick to what your good at’, as they have completed work on and opened the non-official and incredibly illegal World of Warcraft theme park.
A Reddit user going by the name of FrancescaO_O has visited the WoW park and has captured the magic of their visit with photos to share with those who don’t have the funds to check it out.
The Theme park has been named Joyland and is located in Changzhou, China. Forbes has reported that with its giant WoW statues, themed rides and castle located on top of a massive massive stone staircase, that Joyland cost a whopping $48 Million to build and again is not endorsed by Blizzard making it completely illegal!
FrancescaO_O has reported back to the readers of Reddit to answer questions about Joyland and her day their and it all sounds pretty cool.
Reportedly the park uses a ‘Splendor index’ along with a ‘Happiness index’ rating for each ride to let you know how much you’re going to enjoy them.
Here’s a couple of quotes from FrancescaO_O from her Reddit page regarding some of the ride;
“Sky Scrapper had the highest g force I have experienced on a roller coaster, you lie on your front (like you are flying) and it has a loop which felt pretty crazy,”
“A lot of the rides used 4-D and special effects… The water log ride (‘splash of monster blood’) was pretty good too.”
Entry into Joyland will reportedly cost you around $30.
